How to use the odds calculator

Choose the wheel: European, American, French or Mini.

Pick the bet type from the dropdown.

Enter your stake in CA$.

Read probability, true odds, payout, RTP and the expected result per spin.

Worked example in Canadian dollars

Example. CA$20 on a dozen at a European table: probability 12/37 = 32.43%, true odds 2.08:1, payout 2:1. Expected result per spin: CA$20 × (0.3243 × 2 − 0.6757) = −CA$0.54, which is 2.70% of the stake. On an American wheel the same bet costs −CA$1.05.

The formula: Expected value = stake × (p × payout − (1 − p)); house edge = −EV ÷ stake.

About the odds calculator

Roulette odds are simple to state and easy to misjudge. This calculator gives the exact probability of any bet hitting on a 37-pocket European wheel, a 38-pocket American wheel, a French table with La Partage or a 13-pocket mini wheel, alongside the table payout and the gap between them — which is the house edge.

Use it before you sit down at a live table in Canada to check what a bet really costs. A CA$10 red bet on a European wheel loses 27 cents per spin on average; the same bet on an American wheel loses 53 cents. Over a two-hour session at 40 spins an hour, that difference is CA$21.

Put it into practice

Numbers are more useful with a real table in front of you. Practise on our free European wheel. When you are ready to play for real, our top pick for Canadians is Rainbet: code BOOST20 adds a permanent 20% rakeback boost that lowers the effective edge on every spin, which you can see in the rakeback calculator.
